To close Season 23 of The Voice, Chance and his band, as well as a full-string section, and 3 contestants from his team, performed "Same Drugs" off of his critically acclaimed mixtape "Coloring Book". Michael from Fourline was brought on to design and serve as a creative producer for the performance. Featuring a flown circular light box above that is mirrored by a circular performance space below, these architectural elements allowed for the performance to feel more centralized and intimate, while still taking place on a large stage. As the song progressed, the lighting slowly changed as hues of purple and white slowly transformed the space.
