To celebrate Marian Hossa's successful time with the organization and being a part of their three latest Stanley Cup victories, the Chicago Blackhawks retired Marian Hossa's number in a jersey retirement ceremony. Fourline was engaged to help creative produce and enhance the ceremony by focusing on Marian's entrance to the ice and a visual piece to go along with it. Recognizing the focus of the event was to retire his number and that the majority of the crowd would be elevated from the ice looking downwards, the Fourline team designed a set of 35' tall "81"s that laid flat on the ice and split into two allowing for Marian to walk along a carpet between his larger than life number. These numbers not only drew attention to Marian's entrance and were attention-grabbing when the crowd entered the building, but they also lit up and were incorporated into the intro light show that the Blackhawks host.
